Nepal

I finally had the chance to visit Nepal. It was a whirl-wind time. It flew fast much too fast. I over committed, walk a ton, and saw some amazing things. I wish I had more time to really explore, but for what its worth it was worth a lot to me.

The alleys of Kathmandu are where life is. The streets however feel like a death trap.

Everywhere you go in Kathmandu and nearby is smoke. Incense to ward or invite spirits? Wood burning, along with sometimes trash and plastics.
I'd love the history here. Perhaps a shrine being devoured by a tree is a metaphor to be protected.
